The PIM-301 is designed for continuous measurement of volumetric activities of radioactive particulates and iodine in air under normal, accident and post-accident operational conditions. The monitor can detect a wide range of concentrations of radioactive particulates and iodine in air from low levels, and to signal their occurrence to persons in the observed area in order to protect them from internal contamination.
