The FRM-24 monitor is intended for activity measurements in waste material, i.e. in normal operating waste, disposed technological parts, etc. before its free release into the environment. It allows the monitoring of gamma radiation in individual pieces of material that passes through a measuring tunnel. Otherwise, material can be placed in standard packages, i.e. transport boxes, bags, etc. Based on the measurement results, it is possible to decide whether the material is to be released into the environment, decontaminated, or classified and disposed of as radioactive waste.
